About Us

Hi, I am Hecmary Rivera, MS, OTR/L, CLE, the founder of Mighty Little Hands LLC, but everybody calls me Ms. Mary. A National Board Certified Occupational Therapist (OT), Breastfeeding Educator (CLE), and Size Matters Handwriting Program Therapist, with more than ten years of experience working in Pediatrics, from early intervention to school-based OT in different school districts. I’m passionate about helping families get empowered in their child’s development and health. My passion and choice of services come from professional and personal experiences.

I have worked with babies, toddlers, and children with Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, and other diagnoses. Previously, I drove from school to school and clinic to clinic, then suddenly jumped into Teletherapy in 2020. Helping babies and children achieve their milestones and skills needed to be successful and independent in their daily activities are some of the most rewarding experiences as an OT.

As a mother of two, raised under the attachment parenting model, and exclusively breastfed for eight years combined, I understand the impact breastfeeding has on a family. Some of the challenges we went through include low milk supply, “nipple confusion”, supplementing at the breast, cup feeding, lip tie, and oversupply. Our breastfeeding journey is a long story, but you can read more about it in our “CLE | Breastfeeding Education” section. For now, I want you to know the basics and the “whys”. All of this created a strong desire to serve and help others in these stages of life. Whether it’ll be to prevent or get through their challenges, I hope I can be of help and a blessing in your life.
